Love Wins, by Rob Bell – a study

So, by the choice of my ever so awesome small group (I really mean that; no sarcasm), we’re currently reading through Love Wins.  Each week we’re taking on 2 chapters.  We have light questions to aid in thinking through the material and discussion, although I’m sure I won’t have trouble with the discussion part  ;)

Over the course of the next [enter number] blog posts, I’ll be pasting in my unfiltered notes, taken on my netbook as I read.  They might get a little hairy.  I’ll also be pasting in any relevant discussion we have in small group, if I think it’s fitting, or if people bring up good topics.

This is a very controversial book.  Though, I already know the theological axis and the main point Bell uses to nail the point about this book with.  From a Vineyard theological perspective on Heaven and the end of days, I agree with it, although a few of the fine details and interpretations I hear he got wrong (from what I’ve heard from a very trusted biblical scholarly source).

Obviously, it’ll be good to read and think through the contents of this book, instead of going the generally taken route of auto-labeling or auto-judging.

More to come.
